Lancaster Pride beats heat wave!

With a triple-digit heat wave factor, Lancaster Pride ushered in a successful event July 20 at Clipper Magazine Stadium.

In recent months, Lancaster experienced the formation of the LGBTQ+ Coalition, officially announcing itself at the event. Coalition president Xavier Garcia-Molina said: “This is an organization built by and for queer people in Lancaster County, aiming to directly address the issues that our community faces, while also raising the profile of those issues in the larger context of the Lancaster community.

"We are building on the legacy of those who have come before us. There have been some excellent things accomplished by other organizations in this area and we want to continue to work with them on a larger scale, but it became clear to us that what our community needs is a network of LGBTQ+ people in Lancaster County that’s dedicated to improving the lives of every queer person in the county and that’s what we are hoping to do.”
