LGBTQ Health data for Southcentral PA


The Pennsylvania Dept. of Health, the LGBT Center of Central PA, Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center, and Public Health Management Corporation will present findings of an assessment of an array of issues affecting LGBT people living in Southcentral PA at a special meeting Tues., Aug. 28.

The meeting to discuss the 2018 LGBT Community Health Needs Assessment is set to begin at 11 a.m., Tues., Aug. 28 at the LGBT Center of Central PA, 1306 N 3rd St., Harrisburg, Space is limited and RSVPs are requested and can be done here.

More than 4,600 LGBT-identified Pennsylvanians participated in the assessment. It is expected that the meeting will report the assment's data on tobacco-use, cancer screenings and diagnosis, HIV/STI testing and HIV positivity, alcohol and other substance use, tanning salon use, mental health, healthy eating/active living, access to care, quality of care, and perceptions of care.
